Super Rugby Schedule

In addition to real-time results, expect an organised schedule that is easily accessible. Our Super Rugby calendar contains vital match information, including fixture details, venues, and timings. The calendar has navigation tools that allow you to select Super Rugby games by date.

You can retrieve Monday, Saturday, and Sunday matches. All games of the week and live matches will appear at the top of the page. You will have access to all 91 games, with times running from February to Late June.

Super Rugby Ladder - Latest Standings

At Oddspedia, we present you with the Super Rugby ladder/standings, where fans and punters can access a treasure trove of data updated in real time to enhance their rugby experience. Each riveting clash is instantly reflected in our tables, ensuring you have the latest insight.

The ladder provides a clear and up-to-date representation of team standings in the competition. Teams are awarded points based on their performance in each game - 4 points for a win, 2 for a draw and 0 if they lose by more than 7 points. However, every cloud has a silver lining - if a team loses by 7 points or less, they still gain a bonus point in consolation for their closely fought effort. Adding some spice to the mix, teams can gain an additional bonus point if they score three tries or more than their opponent in a match. A Bye attracts 0 points.

The information is organised meticulously into columns of 'P' (played), 'W' (won), 'L' (loss), 'PCT' ( win percentage), and 'PTS' (points), providing a clear and comprehensive view of the teams' standings. Furthermore, the tables can be easily navigated according to your preference. Whether you're looking for overall standings or want to narrow it down to 'home' or 'away' performance, a simple click on the relevant tab helps you take your pick. Not to forget those eager to dig into recent form, we’ve got a specialised 'Form' tab showing each team's recent performance over the last five games.

Understanding Super Rugby - Basics for Newbies

Super Rugby Pacific premiered in 1996 as Super 12. After ten years, the name changed to Super 14 before settling for Super Rugby.

A total of 12 teams from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and the Pacific Islands play 91 games to determine the tournament's winner. Some participants include Moana Pacifika, Fijian Drua, The Highlanders, and Crusaders, who won the 2023 championship.

Of keen interest to new fans is the Super Rugby's unique rule named 'Golden Point,' which is employed for matches ending in a draw after regular time. Teams engage in two five-minute halves of extra time, also known as sudden death. The first team to score - through a try, penalty, or drop goal - is immediately declared the winner.

The Teams and Head Coaches

Twelve teams compete in the Super Rugby Pacific. Crusaders are the most successful, with 12 titles, followed by Brumbies, Blues, and Chiefs. Each team has a prolific squad, making every Super Rugby game competitive. Super Rugby Format

Super Rugby consists of Round-robin and knockout formats. First, the teams play 14 matches during the regular season, consisting of 11 round-robin matches and three additional rivalry clashes, followed by an eight-team finals series.

Quarterfinals

the top 8 teams move to the final series, which comprises the quarterfinal, semi-final, and finals. During the quarterfinals, team 1 plays Team 8, Team 2 plays Team 7, and so on in a knockout format. In this stage, the higher-ranking team gets the home advantage.

Semi-Finals

The top four teams in the finals proceed to the semi-finals. Here, the highest-ranked team in the semi-finals hosts the lowest-ranked team. On the other hand, the second-highest-ranked team hosts the third-ranked team.

Final

Corresponding winners in the semi-finals proceed to the finals. The top-ranked team in the semi-finals hosts the second-ranked team. Overall, the team that scores more points wins the competition.

Venues

Below you will discover a table depicting the iconic venues where all the intense action unfolds. This resource showcases each home team along with the name of their stadium, its capacity and its location - an informative guide to the stage that sets apart heroes and legends. In Super Rugby, home advantage is a force to reckon with as each team has the privilege to host games, including playoff battles, in their formidable fortresses. The only expectation of the above is Round 2 - The Super Round - where all teams grace the iconic McG in Melbourne over the weekend of the 1st to 3rd March,

So, whether you're a native supporter or an international rugby enthusiast, gear up to delve into the heartlands of Super Rugby and feel closer to your favourite teams and stars.
