Jokic had a big opening game, scoring 29 points, and he’s in line to drop some serious numbers in Game 2. The key for Jokic is to get Ivica Zubac in foul trouble. This Clippers team does not have a ton of big men depth, and outside of Zubac, I don’t see anyone on the roster who can lock down Jokic.
Jokic averaged 29.6 points in the regular season – just a hair over his line for tonight. If Jokic is able to keep Zubac off the floor in foul trouble, I see Nikola putting up 40+ in this game this evening. Let’s see Nikola have a monster performance here, and let’s start our props off 1-0.
James Harden | OVER 23.5 points | -110 at FanDuelNow, if you have followed me for awhile, either with my written or video content, you would know I am not exactly the biggest fan or believer in James Harden, but what he has been doing this season, and in Game 1 of this series, has been truly impressive. We’re going to ride him as part of our best Clippers vs Nuggets player props.
Harden averaged 22.8 points per game this season and dropped 32 in the opener. Now, he needs to be the X-factor for this Clippers team. The Nuggets are great defensively in the paint, and they will need to hit some outside shots to compete in this game. Over the course of the season, Harden averaged 23.5 points per game against the Nuggets, which is exactly what his total is at for tonight’s game. If he is able to get his open looks, he should have no issues cashing our second play of the game.
Murray just isn’t the same player he once was, and this has really affected this Nuggets team. The combo of Murray and Jokic used to be one of the best 2-man duos in the NBA, and it just hasn’t been for a couple years now. Murray’s points prop is juiced on the under for a reason, as Russell Westbrook has an increased role on this team, and was one of the heroes of Game 1.
Murray did score 21 points in Game 1, but that was a result of overtime. In this specific game, I do expect the Clippers to make the Nuggets’ role players beat them, and Murray should have a low-scoring game. Let’s fade him as part of our best Nuggets vs Clippers player props.
