All your submitted picks will be submitted to the competitions you have entered. These picks are automatically monitored by Oddspedia, and your performance (including profit/loss) will be displayed on the competition leaderboard. You can play it safe with short favorites or go big on the underdogs. Tips for winning our Monthly handicapper competition
Research and knowledge are the two essential requirements for winning this competition. Of course, variance always plays its part in sport so a sprinkling of luck will also be needed! Keeping a winning streak and selecting events where you believe you actually have an edge will put you in a good spot. Don't just chase high odds or pile on unites to try and climb the leaderboard.
Focusing on the sport you know best will obviously help, but it's also in your benefit to keep an eye out for where the value is across all betting markets. You may be big on NFL but if you get hold of some leaked info for a WNBA game, it could pay to submit a pick to try and boost your place on the leaderboard.
It's also important not to panic or force your picks. Profit and loss will fluctuate for all handicappers so if you're not as high as you want to be on the leaderboard, don't rush it and submit picks you aren't confident in. Sometimes if you sit tight, others around you will fall away and you'll move up by default.
- Dive into data: Thoroughly analyze teams/players, recent performances, head-to-head statistics, and other relevant data before making predictions.
