You will find detailed analysis in Oddspedia’s individual DraftKings review and FanDuel review. But how do the two shape up in a head-to-head comparison? FanDuel vs DraftKings – Sign-up bonus

FanDuel and DraftKings have tons of key features and perks for sports bettors who use their platform daily to make wagers. One of the vital points to be considered is how they’re attracting customers initially. The sign-up bonus is absolutely one of the most alluring aspects of a sports betting company’s plan to reach as many customers as possible.

Oddly enough, both FanDuel and DraftKings both have similar sign-up bonuses at this time. At FanDuel, customers can take advantage of the “Bet $5, get $150 in bonus bets”. DraftKings’ similar welcome bonus includes “Bet $5 get $200 in bonus bets”. If you’re looking to claim either, or both, of these offers, then you will find all the information you need in Oddspedia’s FanDuel promo code and DraftKings promo code articles.

That’s not all that the two sportsbooks have in common. Both DraftKings and FanDuel permit users to wager their free bets on all bet types, meaning if a player prop is your favorite, go for it. But if a spread bet is your best choice, that’ll work too. Additionally, no promo codes are required, there aren’t any odds restrictions, meaning you can wager on whichever selection you’d like. Lastly, for both FanDuel and DraftKings’ sign up bonuses, seven days is the allotted time you have to use the bonus credits.

Now let’s explore the differences between the two bonuses. The most obvious point is that DraftKings are offering $50 more than FanDuel. But another key difference between the deals is that the DraftKings bonus includes eight ($25) bonus bets whereas FanDuel’s bonus disperse $150 in bonus bets to be used however you’d like. The option of having three $50 bets or seven $20 bets and a $10 bet is a bit more flexible than having to bet eight times in $25 increments. DraftKings’ bonus just requires you to be first time customers and deposit $5+ into your sportsbook account. Regardless of whether your initial $5 bet wins or loses, you’ll receive $200 in bonus bets. FanDuel’s welcome bonus requires a $10+ deposit although you’re eligible for the welcome bonus offer after placing your first $5 cash wager.

As you can tell, although both FanDuel and DraftKings’ welcome bonus’ are similar, there are some nuances that should be considered. FanDuel’s welcome bonus requires a deposit of $5 more than DraftKings, and although it provides more freedom with the bonus funds, DraftKings get the nod in the sign-up bonus department thanks to the additional $50 of bonus bets up for grabs. It’s a close call between the two, and it has to be said that these are some of the best sportsbook promos you’ll find anywhere in the U.S.

FanDuel vs DraftKings – Odds: Where do you get the most value?

FanDuel and DraftKings both offer a ton of competitive odds on a variety of betting lines. DraftKings utilizes an in-house SBTech platform to provide odds, which are typically available before most competitors. FanDuel’s odds, on the other hand, are powered by Flutter. Flutter is an international sports betting and gambling company. Keeping in mind that both sportsbooks have hundreds of different betting markets ranging from game props, player props, totals, and spreads helps us to remember there’s a lot to evaluate within these two sportsbooks.

In my experience of using both sportsbooks for more than 2+ years, FanDuel’s odds have been typically more juiced than DraftKings. A -110 is the standard betting line for most spreads and totals within the betting markets. You’re likely to find an even -110 odds on both the favorite and underdog when using DraftKings. Those same -110 odds on both sides at DraftKings are typically a bit more juiced at FanDuel and may appear at -112/-109 or worse. This will change depending on the sport, but both of these two titans feature heavily in the best NFL betting sites and NBA betting sites, amongst many other sports.

In the futures, props, and moneyline markets, you’ll find fluctuation between the two sports betting giants. Depending on which specific prop, moneyline or futures bet you’re interested in, FanDuel may sometimes have the better odds. At other times, DraftKings will be the clear-cut favorite.

If you’ve never used DraftKings or FanDuel, it’ll benefit you most to download both sportsbooks. With access to both, you’re able to line shop and choose the sportsbook with the best line to avoid unnecessary juice.

FanDuel vs DraftKings – Market coverage: Which has more to offer?

With both industry giants ranking #1 and #2 in almost every important sports betting category, you could guess that both FanDuel and DraftKings offer extensive betting markets. In fact, between them they will probably offer all the sports you could want. Both DraftKings and FanDuel offer betting on all major tier 1 US sports with NBA odds, NFL odds, MLB odds, and NHL odds. In addition to college football odds and college basketball odds, you will find secondary markets in other major sports such as WNBA, CFL, and tennis matches at both sites.

Secondary and niche sports are a huge part of what separates both FanDuel and DraftKings from other sportsbooks. Sports bettors want variety and some occasionally may want to wager on markets that aren’t heavily covered to find an edge. PGA, MMA, NASCAR, MLS, tennis, boxing, water polo, volleyball, darts, rugby, and cricket are all additional sports covered outside of tier 1 sports. Beyond their sportsbook odds and markets, both DraftKings and FanDuel have considerable daily fantasy sports offerings you may want to check out.

One of the key differences in FanDuel’s betting markets and DraftKings is horse racing, swimming, and surfing. FanDuel offers all three while DraftKings doesn’t offer any. Horse racing being the most popular of the three, has become a staple for FanDuel. Besides being able to bet on horses, users can also watch races that they’ve wagered on. Betting insurance promotions and horse racing education is also offered at FanDuel sportsbook as they look to continue to grow the horse racing market.

Since FanDuel sportsbook offers 23 different sports to wager on while DraftKings only offers 20, the decision for who has the best sports betting market coverage is almost decided for us. FanDuel wins by default because they offer more sports to wager on and provide more coverage over a variety of sports.

FanDuel vs DraftKings – App: Which sportsbook has the best app?

Sports betting in 2023 should be easily accessible, fun, exciting, and enjoyable. Fortunately for those using FanDuel and DraftKings sportsbooks, you get all of that and more. Arguably the two top sports betting apps on the planet, there’s undoubtedly some similarities. Commonalities such as sleek interfaces, reliable live betting options, with fast processing speed to quickly change screens are just a few of the top features worth mentioning. However, everything isn’t the same within the mobile apps so lets deep dive into who provides what.

FanDuel’s app is highly regarded by many as the best sports betting app ever created. With its clean appearance and flawless navigational infrastructure, pinpointing exactly what you’re looking for is made easy. There are also dozens of promotions on the home page and easily accessible live betting opportunities in the tidied mobile app. Banking using the app can be done in just a few clicks to add or withdraw funds from your account.

The DraftKings sportsbook mobile app is also highly regarded as one of the best applications for mobile betting. The well-versed menus on the DraftKings app set the tone and provide significant structure for an app that offers so much information. There are tons of betting options, odds boosts, and quick parlay options that keep users coming back. Additionally, there’s a social feature where users can follow friends, share bets, and comment on posts which separates itself from others in the business.

In my opinion, a slight edge goes to FanDuel for having a better mobile app than DraftKings. While DraftKings sportsbook offers a large selection of bet types and odds boosts that are easily accessible for betting, FanDuel sportsbook provides those same features and has a bit better functionality. Also, there’s rarely any geo-location issues while using FanDuel sportsbook. Taking it all into consideration, it’s no wonder FanDuel was awarded American Gambling Online Sportsbook of the year for its mobile app.

Winner: FanDuel

FanDuel vs DraftKings – Bet types

One of the key factors that separates FanDuel and DraftKings sportsbooks from other top industry giants is their betting coverages and bet types. All standard bet types such as point spreads, moneyline odds, and Over/Unders can be found using both platforms. Both platforms also offer extensive bet types for live betting on teams, players, and game props. Furthermore, if we take a deep dive into niche bet types, we’ll find absolutely elite and creative betting markets for the masses.

Customers of DraftKings sportsbook have so many different options when it comes to betting that it could be overwhelming at times just trying to review them all. With that being said, having options is a good thing, so no complaints here. For instance, game props, team props, quarter props, and defensive player props during the NFL season are just the tip of the iceberg when evaluating what DraftKings offers. Head-to-head props, weekly specials, season specials, and future markets for players and teams are all offered in addition to traditional bet types such as round robins, teasers, and same game parlays.

FanDuel is also no slouch when it comes to offering a plethora of betting options. Known for its highly popular Same Game Parlay + function, FanDuel has pioneered the way for more than a handful of other sportsbooks to copy and paste its bet types over the years. Most recently, FanDuel’s newest innovative market has become the Runs Batted In (RBI) market that over time has spread throughout other sportsbooks. Another feature its highly known for is the alternate lines markets within player props. Alternate lines are riskier but provide more reward for identifying an edge in a match. For example, most sportsbooks only offer a player’s points at a baseline number. On FanDuel you’re able to wager on players scoring 5, 10, 15 points more than their baseline prop.

Overall, because of the variety that’s offered, it’s difficult to say that either one of these books are second in bet types across any sports. While their individual bet types may be different, they both offer so many ways to bet on your favorite game.

FanDuel vs DraftKings – Legal states

With betting coverage in over 19 different states, FanDuel and DraftKings sportsbooks have really set the bar high for other competitors. Both industry titans have licenses and operate in the same states. However, DraftKings does have a slight edge with coverage in New Hampshire and Oregon, while the other 19 states FanDuel has access to as well.

Neither FanDuel sportsbook nor DraftKings sportsbook is set to stop expanding anytime soon. With North Carolina planning legalize sports betting , you can bet FanDuel and DraftKings will be actively attempting to establish its brand in the new market. We saw exactly that when FanDuel Kentucky and DraftKings Kentucky went live as soon as the state launched mobile sports betting. As you’d expect, the two also deliver on state-specific bonuses. The FanDuel Kentucky promo code and DraftKings Kentucky promo code gave bettors in the Bluegrass State something to really get excited about.

There are rumors that, Maine, Florida, and Oklahoma are trying to legalize sports betting in their respective states. You can bet your bottom dollar that DraftKings and FanDuel will be watching closely to continue expansion on those markets.

FanDuel vs DraftKings – Payment methods

FanDuel offers tons of deposit methods, making it easy to have funds uploaded so that you can start betting immediately. Bettors will find the following FanDuel payment methods available: debit/credit card, PayPal, bank transfer, eCheck, ApplePay, Venmo, PayNearMe, FanDuel Prepaid Play+ and wire transfers for larger amounts of money.

Similarly, DraftKings sportsbook also offers a nice variety of ways to have funds added to your bankroll. Customers will find various DraftKings payment methods, such as credit/debit card options, PayPal, bank transfer, Venmo, ApplePay, eCheck, Play+ Prepaid Card and wire transfers as well. While the only difference is DraftKings lacks PayNearMe as an option, both sportsbooks offer more than average deposit methods.

When it comes to withdrawing winnings from your bankroll, FanDuel also offers plenty of options. Making the process convenient keeps customers wanting to play at FanDuel sportsbook. Customers can request funds via debit cards, bank transfers, PayPal, check, online banking, and via Venmo.

DraftKings sportsbook offers slightly more withdrawal options in comparison to FanDuel sportsbook. Customers can find debit card, bank transfer, e-check, PayPal, Venmo, Play+ Prepaid Card, check, cash @ cage and wire transfers as options to extract winnings. Although FanDuel doesn’t lack withdrawal options, the variety presented by DraftKings gives it a slight edge in this department.

Payout speed at both DraftKings sportsbook and FanDuel sportsbook are next level. I’ve witnessed tickets graded winners at both sportsbooks be paid out in as little as 30 minutes using PayPal as the preferred withdrawal method. Additionally, debit card withdrawals at both DraftKings and FanDuel are processed and paid out typically in less than 24 hours. Both sportsbooks offer other payout selections that are processed at a slower rate, ranging from 2-5 business days, however electronic payment methods have been proven to be the fastest way to get your funds the quickest. For this reason, we’ll have to say payment methods are a tie at DraftKings and FanDuel sportsbooks.

FanDuel vs DraftKings – Customer support: Who manages issues the best?

While customer support may not be at the top of most sports bettors list of high priorities, it’s certainly a department that’s undeniably going to be needed eventually. Questions regarding promotions, banking, or responsible gaming are bound to arise and when they do, sports bettors want them resolved immediately.

FanDuel sportsbook offers every support option available amongst the superior sportsbooks. Customers will find phone, 24/7 live chat, and email support offered amongst social media support via Twitter @FanDuel_Support. FanDuel also offers an in-depth FAQ section for quick access to the commonly asked questions.

DraftKings sportsbook also offers extraordinary customer service via 24/7 live chat, phone, and email. While both FanDuel and DraftKings offer phone support, DraftKings will allow customers to request a call back. In addition, Twitter support is available at @DK_Assist.

My request included house rules and promotions that I couldn’t find in my area. During my experience with both DraftKings and FanDuel’s customer support team, I was pleasantly impressed with how knowledgeable and polite the representatives I spoke with were. The separation in customer support departments that makes both FanDuel and DraftKings elite, is the variety of support options. The most convenient method being of course the 24/7 chat support and phone support because when customers reach out a quick turnaround is expected for a successful inquiry.

With those two options at the forefront, I’d have to give a slight nod to FanDuel’s customer support team. Providing both phone support and 24/7 live chat options really creates a wraparound support team that isn’t offered at most sportsbooks. While DraftKings customer support team is still considered elite, having to request a callback helps FanDuel nudge them out of being #1.

FanDuel vs DraftKings – Verdict

FanDuel and DraftKings sportsbook both deserve a sign-up if you haven’t done so already. They both have a history in daily fantasy sports and are now both highly regarded as the best sportsbooks on the market, with good reason. Both FanDuel and DraftKings provide betting coverage in more states than any other sportsbooks besides BetMGM. The high-quality mobile apps for both sportsbooks are second to none and enhance your sports betting experience by offering tons of betting options, daily and weekly promotions, and the highest functionality available.

Both sportsbooks offer various banking options for your convenience and provide good sports betting odds for most major and secondary sports. However, if we’re evaluating FanDuel and DraftKings based on the above criteria, then FanDuel does get the award for better sportsbook overall. The FanDuel slogan “make every moment more” is no exaggeration when it comes to what’s offered to create such a unique betting experience. It truly feels like there’s no stone left unturned when thinking of the ways FanDuel continues to pioneer avenues for us to bet on sports.

Which has better odds, DraftKings or FanDuel?

In my experience, DraftKings has also maintained the better odds. There’s usually less juice (or vig) on DraftKings’ odds when comparing point spreads, totals, and player props. While FanDuel may offer a prop at -115 odds, typically DraftKings will have a similar line at -112 odds or better.

Does FanDuel have a better welcome bonus than DraftKings?

No they don’t. As if there weren’t already enough similarities between the two, both DraftKings and FanDuel also offer similar welcome bonuses. However, currently at DraftKings, new customers who bet $5 can get up to $200 instantly. FanDuel’s offer of bet $5 to get $150 in bonus bets is more flexible but ultimately worth less.
