The 2024 European Championships are set to take place in Germany between June 14 and July 14 this summer. There will be 24 teams competing across ten venues in a total of 51 matches, which means there will be plenty of opportunities to have a bet on the tournament.

Oddspedia will carry the markets you would expect to see on every game, as well as for the outright winner and the winner for each of the six groups. The best Euro 2024 odds can be found here, as prices are collated from the best sportsbooks.

England at +350 and France at +400 in odds are favorites to win the tournament. Didier Deschamps’ side got the better of the Three Lions at the 2022 World Cup on their way to reaching the final. If both teams top their group in Germany, they will be on a path to meet in the semi-finals.

Euro 2024 group odds

Group A

Tournament host Germany is expected to dominate Group A, with odds giving them an implied 71 percent chance of finishing first. They get Euro 2024 underway against group outsiders Scotland in Munich on June 14. Switzerland is second favorite in the section and, unlike Hungary and the Scots, has a pedigree of repeatedly qualifying from groups.

Group B

This looks like a group of death for unfortunate Albania who will need a miracle to qualify. Group B is one of only two sections containing two nations among the top eight in the outright betting. Italy is not that likely to defend its crown, but it did knock Spain out of the Euro 2020 semi-finals on penalties.

Group C

The other semi-final three years ago saw England defeat Denmark in extra time, and the countries clash again in Group C. It would be a massive shock if Gareth Southgate’s side failed to qualify, while the Danes have won all three previous meetings with group third favorite Serbia. There is unlikely to be many upsets here.

Group D

France beat the Netherlands home and away in qualifying, so the joint favorite to win the tournament and our choice in our Euro 2024 predictions will not be too concerned with the teams it will face in Group D. Poland qualified via the play-off path. It is rare for a nation that takes that route to perform well at the finals, though they could sneak ahead of Austria for third.

Group E

Belgium will win this Group and Slovakia are tournament outsiders, so the real interest comes from the teams in the middle. While not in the toughest qualifying group, Romania went unbeaten and conceded just five goals in 10 matches to top their group. They could be a good selection to proceed at Ukraine’s expense from Group E.

Group F

Portugal was the best-performing team in the qualification process, with a perfect 10 wins from 10 matches, but there is no value in backing it to top an otherwise weak group. Turkey has been better than Czech Republic in qualifying and has won the last three meetings of the sides, so they look well placed to finish second.

Euro 2024 favorites

England (+350 at Bet365 sportsbook)

England won its qualification group with six wins and two draws, notably beating defending champions Italy home and away. But until the Three Lions win a tournament for the first time since 1966, doubts will persist over the side’s ability to win through in a crunch moment.

Manager Gareth Southgate deserves credit for taking England deeper into competitions than many of his predecessors. He will also arrive in Germany with arguably the most talented squad of the 24 nations present.

However, Southgate is yet to win a match against a team ranked in the world’s top 10 at a tournament in 90 minutes. Extra time and penalties mean he may not need to, but can England finally get over the line? The Euro 2024 winner odds suggest they can.

France (+400 at DraftKings sportsbook)

France’s last tournament ended in penalty shoot-out agony against Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, while it was poor at the previous European Championships. What are we going to get from Les Bleus here?

A superb group of players led by Didier Deschamps, a manager with a World Cup and another two tournament finals on his resume is not a bad place to start. France won seven of eight matches in qualifying, seeing off the Netherlands along the way.

A pair of friendly defeats to host and third favorite Germany in the last 12 months leave room for doubt, but the French should reach the semi-finals as almost a bare minimum. Les Bleus’ position as one of two Euro 2024 favorites is fully justified.

Germany (+550 at FanDuel sportsbook)

The Euro 2024 betting odds place hosts Germany as the third favorite to win the tournament. As it qualified automatically it is a little hard to get a read on their form. Former manager Hansi Flick was dismissed in September after four losses and a draw in five games, so the build-up has been far from routine.

It would be unwise to discount any team with home advantage from going deep into the tournament. Friendly wins over France (2-0) and Netherlands (2-1) will have helped build optimism. Equally, it’s now eight years since Germany went past the Round of 16 in a major tournament, so temporary manager Julian Nagelsmann may need a boost from vociferous home support.

Spain (+800 at BetMGM sportsbook)

A surprise loss to Scotland aside, Spain was perfect in qualifying. While a defeat to Colombia and a draw with Brazil in March friendlies ended a run of eight consecutive victories, Luis de la Fuente can be confident that his side will perform well in Germany.

The presence of Croatia and Italy in its division mean Spain is the longest price favorite of any the likeliest group winners. It should qualify but it wouldn’t be a shock if it was as runner up.

There must be concerns regarding a potential lack of goal-scoring bite. Joselu and Alvaro Morata have not been reliable scorers over the years, so is there someone to pick up the slack?

Portugal (+800 at BetMGM sportsbook)

If qualifying counts for anything, back Portugal to go all the way. The side earned a perfect 30 points with a 36-2 goal difference and will send one of the deeper squads to the finals this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo was the second top scorer in the qualification process, with the likes of Joao Felix and Diogo Jota on hand to provide able goal support and Bruno Fernandes behind them to set chances up.

A shock loss to Morocco at the World Cup two years ago followed a Round of 16 exit at the previous European Championships. It’s time for Portugal to get back to the levels it reached when winning Euro 2016. Its recent form suggests it might just be able to do so.

Euro 2024 longshot

Belgium (+1800 at BetMGM sportsbook)

Belgium had a better record in qualifying that every side apart from Portugal, France and Spain. A kind draw means it is the joint-shortest priced favorite to win any of the six groups, and assuming it finishes first in Group E, Belgium will face a third-placed team in the Round of 16.

There’s still a long way to go from there to win the tournament. Still, it can call upon Romelu Lukaku, the top scorer in qualifying, to finish chances created by Manchester City midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne. If everything clicks for the Belgians, they could easily go a long way in Germany.

Euro previous winners

With three wins (including two as West Germany), Euro 2024 host Germany is the joint-most successful nation in the history of the competition, alongside Spain. France and Italy have two triumphs apiece, with the latter the defending champions, while six other nations have each lifted the European Championship trophy once.

Greece, the shock winners of Euro 2004, will not be in Germany this summer after a play-off defeat to Georgia, while Russia was not permitted to enter the qualification process. Those two aside, all other previous champions will be at the finals looking to be victorious once again.

Euro 2024 bet types

The most popular markets for a tournament are the Outright Winner and Top Scorer (Golden Boot) options, and you can also have a wager on which team you think will win the six groups in the first phase of the competition.

Euro 2024 lines will be available on all 51 matches this summer, with the same options as in club football. The most backed markets include Full Time Result (which team will win the match or if it will be a draw), Both Teams to Score (yes or no), and Total Goals (how many goals the teams will score between them).

How to read Euro 2024 odds

There are three types of odd formats available on Oddspedia. The first option in the dropdown is EU Odds, also known as Decimal. In this format, the joint favorites England and France have a price of 4.50 to win the tournament this summer.

The second possibility is UK Odds (Fractional). The price for the Euro 2024 favorites is given as 7/2 using this system.

Finally, we have US Odds, or Moneyline. England’s price to win Euro 2024 is +300 using this style of odds. Your payout will be the same regardless, so use the format you feel most comfortable with.

How to calculate winnings

The method to calculate winnings depends on which odds format you are using.

For instance, with EU Odds of 4.50, a $10 stake will see you receive $45 back. This makes sense, as 4.50 x 10 = 45. By receiving the initial $10 back, your profit is $35.

In UK Odds, the fraction is used to determine the profit. With a price of 7/2, you divide 7 by 2 to get 3.5, and multiply that by your stake of $10 to see that you win $35. With your initial stake returned, once again you have $45.

US Odds are a little more complicated. If the price has a +, divide your stake by 100 and multiply the outcome to calculate the profit. In our example, dividing $10 by 100 gives us $0.10, which we multiply by 350 to give our profit of $35.

But if the US Odds price starts with a minus, divide 100 by the odds. If we use England’s price of -250 to win Group C, we divide 100 by 250 to get 0.4. We then multiply that by our $10 stake to get a profit of $4.

If you are unsure, there are many online calculators that you can use to determine your winnings.

Euro 2024 Odds FAQs

Who is favorite to win Euro 2024?

England (+350) and France (+400) are favorites to win Euro 2024. While this may imply they should meet in the final, the draw means that will not happen if both win their groups as expected in the first phase. Bookmakers make host Germany third favorite (+550), followed by Spain (+750) and Portugal (+800).

Who are the favorites to win the groups at Euro 2024?

The joint three likeliest teams to win their Groups are Germany, England and Belgium, priced at -250 to top Groups A, C and E respectively. Portugal is -250 to win Group F, with France -188 to finish first in Group C and Spain -125 to top Group B.

Who is favorite to win the Euro Golden Boot 2024?

Just as England and France are joint favorites to win Euro 2024, their star strikers Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe are the front runners in the top scorer (Golden Boot) market. They can be backed at +550 and +600 respectively, with their teammates Jude Bellingham (+1600) and Olivier Giroud (+2300) also among the leading five. The other leading option is reigning holder Cristiano Ronaldo, at +1300.

Who won Euro 2020 and recent editions?

Italy currently holds the European Championship after beating England on penalties in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley. Portugal won the preceding edition after back-to-back triumphs by Spain in 2008 and 2012. You must look back to 1984 for the last time the host nation lifted the trophy, with France taking the crown on home soil 40 years ago.

How has Germany performed at the European Championships?

No country has won more European championships than Germany, though two of its titles were secured as West Germany prior to reunification. It took the trophy in 1972, 1980 and 1996. More recently, Germany was runner-up in 2008 before going out at the semi-final stage in the next two editions. After a Round of 16 exit at Euro 2020, Germany will look to do far better with home advantage.
